National Holstein Convention Coming to Wisconsin in 2019
USAgNet - 07/17/2018

For just the third time in over 30 years, the Dairy State is hosting the National Holstein Convention next summer. The annual conference takes place June 24-27, 2019 in Appleton, where attendees will network with one another, celebrate their accomplishments and tour some of the state's finest Registered Holstein farms. The National Holstein Convention Sale will also be held near the meeting site.

"This will be a cow convention as attendees will see some of North America's best cows and discuss the latest research on dairy cattle genetics and have the opportunity to purchase some of the industry's elite type and genomic animals," said Corey Geiger, who's serving as a convention co-chair.

In the spirit of the convention theme, the 2019 event will make a legendary leap by featuring the first National Genetics Conference in over five years. In addition, the Young Dairy Leaders Institute will hold its 25th Anniversary Leadership Conference during the forum. The convention will also offer traditional favorites, such as educational seminars, a multitude of Junior Holstein contests, the National Convention Sale, and much more.

The meeting is expected to draw more than 1,500 dairy farmers and industry members from across the nation.
