Riveridge Announces Release of the Prince Apple

Riveridge Produce Marketing is pleased to announce the availability of the Red Prince apple. This unique variety is available in select retail outlets until May.
The Royally Crisp, Red Prince apple, is sure to delight apple lovers. The variety provides a rich, full flavor with mildly sweet taste excellent for fresh eating, salads and baking. Its attractive, deep-red exterior
reveals an extreme crunch with a juicy, cream-colored flesh. The Red Prince apple hits peak flavor in winter providing consumers with a fresh apple treat in the heart of winter.
The Red Prince originated on the German/Holland border in 1994 and is a cross between a Jonathan and Golden Delicious. The variety has the same parentage as Jonagold but with a much different eating
characteristic.
