Daffodil Planting Day on Detroit's Belle Isle
Michigan Ag Connection - 09/19/2018

Help organizers reach their goal of 650,000 daffodils planted on Belle Isle -- one for every Detroit resident -- by taking part in a daffodil planting event Sept. 21. With volunteer support, this year the group will plant the final 70,000 bulb for this project that began in 2008.

Join in Friday at 10 a.m. and help us reach our goal. Planting will finish about 1 p.m.

Volunteers will gather on the White house lawn and bulbs will be planted along Loitter Way (Greenspace along the brick wall). It is within walking distance from the White House meeting location

Volunteers should bring work/gardening gloves, personal water bottle, sunscreen if desired.

Groups of 10 or more, please email Genevieve to make arrangements. Individuals and families, please RSVP at www.eventbrite.com/e/daffodil-planting-on-belle-isle-tickets-49397529340
