Recycling Curriculum Under Development; Complete Survey
Michigan Ag Connection - 05/17/2021

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), in partnership with Michigan State University (MSU), is in the early stages of developing training materials to expand recycling in Michigan. The training will be targeted for:

- Recycling professionals.

- People interested in recycling careers.

- People seeking to be more informed regarding the recycling industry.

- People looking to expand recycling in their industry, business, or community.

To help identify curriculum content important to you, officials are seeking your input. There are two ways you can help. You can complete the survey, and you can forward it onto others interested in learning more about the recycling.

Help guide educational efforts by taking the survey at https://bit.ly/2Qq9IA4. It takes less than ten minutes to complete and closes May 28.

Candidates completing the curriculum, scheduled to be released in 2022, will be eligible for EGLE recycling grants and may be eligible for a Recycling Professional certification from the National Recycling Coalition.

For questions about the survey or the curriculum, please contact Jeff Krcmarik, EGLE Recycling Specialist, at 269-615-2912 or Bethany Prykucki, MSU Extension Educator, at 231-290-0507.
